Amanda.

Amanda Townsend Turnbull is the Founder and Principal of T2 Strategy.  Amanda leverages her background in journalism and production to guide brands to drive impact across all platforms and achieve go-to-market success.  Amanda is known as a dedicated leader who motivates executive, content and production teams through collaboration, transparency and authenticity.

Most recently, clients have called upon Amanda to guide the audit and re-positioning of brand, content and marketing strategies, to build and reframe marketing teams, and to oversee strategy and execution of high-profile, revenue driving events.  Amanda’s unique background positions her to work across business verticals which is demonstrated in her bench of clients spanning media, foundations & non-profits, fin-tech, DTC beverage and automotive.

Amanda served as a Strategic Consultant for WarnerMedia and Warner Bros. Discovery’s Ad Sales division(s) where she guided the Marketplace Image team with all marketing and strategic events, including Executive Producing the combined company’s first upfront as well as their presence at the Cannes Lions Festival.

She was also Executive Producer for Ford and Civic (a Seacrest Company) on their first investor day in five years.  Following the Delivering Ford+ event, Ford saw a 15%+ market value increase and was awarded the 2022 North American SABRE Award for Capital Markets Communications. She also executive produced AT&T’s investor day for the debut of HBO Max.

While at WarnerMedia, Amanda built the Ad Sales Marketplace Image + Experience (MI+E) team.  As the Senior Vice President and Executive Producer, she oversaw the strategy, planning and activation of WarnerMedia’s portfolio messaging to the ad sales community.

Under her leadership, the WarnerMedia MI+E team brought key narrative capabilities together to enable holistic development and amplification of the company’s portfolio message in the advertising marketplace. In this role, Amanda led the collaboration and execution of the WarnerMedia Ad Sales narrative via out-of-home, experiential and strategic outreach. In addition, she served as Executive Producer to WarnerMedia’s annual Upfront.

Prior to this, Amanda served as vice president of integrated marketing for CNN Ad Sales, managing content strategy, client integration and post-sale activation.

Before working in advertising, Amanda spent ten years as a producer and journalist for CNN’s primetime programs. She served as a producer on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360, NewsNight with Aaron Brown, and The Moneyline News Hour with Lou Dobbs. She received an Emmy for her team’s coverage of the events on September 11, 2001, and was again Emmy-nominated for a feature on “The Smiths,” a retrospective on the servicemen and women who gave their lives while serving in Afghanistan.  Additional accolades for her work on documentaries and long-form features include a National Headliner Award, DuPont Award, Gracie Award and Peabody Award.

Amanda is a proud Long Island native who has never met a beach she doesn’t like, offsets her love of food with her passion for swimming and Orange Theory, and has a tendency to binge content until the wee hours of the morning.
